Strength is for everyone.

It is our mission to provide high level strength and conditioning to as many people as possible! So what does this look like? Do we train beginners with the same workouts that pro athletes use? No way!

We simply take the same concepts which dwell at the highest levels of performance training, and boil them down to their most concentrated ideas. All performance training uses precise methods of applying physiological (not psychological) stress to cause the body to change. The most miraculous and fantastic aspect of our body is that it will adapt to the stress which we put on it. This means that we can measurably control outcomes based on the input we apply to the system, the body. To put it another way: through exercise we force the body to improve its form and function, which in turn increases our tolerance to stress. Incredible!

Many think that strength training is superficial and only benefits muscle growth. Maybe your perception of lifting weights is based on some obnoxious individuals you’ve seen at your local gym. Or maybe there is some fear surrounding the safety of lifting weights. We’re here to break the stigma surrounding strength training to show you how vital it is to life long health and wellness! Through strength training joint health increases, tendons and ligaments strengthen, bones become stronger, and muscles gain strength. These benefits cannot be replicated through other methods of exercise! To put it in the words of Mark Taysom, Holistic Health and Fitness Program Director for the U.S Army and world class Strongman athlete: “if it doesn’t change your face, it doesn’t change your body”. Now, don’t think that you need to lift hundreds of pounds to reap these benefits. Strength is relative! This means whether “heavy” to you is 40 pounds or 400 pounds, challenging yourself is all that matters! The benefits of strength training compound over time. The more consistent you are, the longer the health benefits will last! And we haven’t even scratched the surface of the mental health benefits strength training has! Learning just how capable you are while becoming more physically resilient is such an important way to boost self confidence, balance hormones, and discover your own hidden strengths!

Our training method is structured as four key pillars: Move. Strain. Gain. Sweat.

Every workout begins with dynamic stretching and mobility to prepare the body to perform. Then our first exercises of the session are always our “heavy duty” main lifts: your squats, overhead presses, and deadlifts. Once the heavy lifting is done, we move on to accessory lifts. We take a more nuanced approach by carefully selecting exercises that directly benefit joint stability, muscle growth, and the supporting muscles for our main lifts. Each workout is finished with some type of conditioning, whether that be sprint intervals, agility drills, sled pushes. Before we break, we cool down and bring the body back to rest. These four tenets are time tested and are sure to provide sustained progress over time. This workout structure allows us to focus on one aspect of fitness at a time in order to maximize progress. Using this template of Move. Strain. Gain. Sweat. you’re sure to build true strength effectively and safely.
